Some like the inexpensive hostels, some like the luxury cruises and the all inclusive packages. While others may like to travel like the early explorers. They arrive , they get some work and spend the next few years working, travelling and travelling some more.

The trick is to do a lot of homework on any of your destinations. Ensure that the country or countries are not in any state of political unrest. Find out what the local customs are and if there are any special dates in which you can save a lot of money. For example: Repositioning cruises for cruise ships can save you lots and allow you to travel when it isn't as in demand.

Another very important point which could prevent you from actually getting into the country is proper innoculations. Check with your local health travel centre to see if there are any mandatory requirements.
