Britrail Flexipass
How to Save Money and Travel by Rail

Are you considering going on a vacation or business trip to Britain? Consider buying Britrail's Flexipass, for savings and convenience when you are in the country.

We purchased the flexipass when we were out in Britain this summer and it sure was nice to just board the train with no fuss and bother and present the pass when the conductor asks for you tickets.

The best deal for the flexipass is to buy them before you leave on your vacation or business trip, this type of purchasing will give you the greatest amount of savings.

Passes start at 4 days and go up to a month, if you have a child 15 years or less they can ride on the train free as long as you have a family pass.

Once you have purchased your passes online they will be mailed to you in plenty of time before your trip.

Once your in Britain the beauty of Britrail's Flexipass will be realized once you get to the train station.

No worries about lineups at the ticket booth and the beauty of the pass is that you can get on and off the train at different destinations all day and you would only be using 1 day of your pass. Just go to the train station, check the platform your train will be leaving from and your off and away.

If you want to reserve specific seating then you can go to the ticket office the day before and reserve the seat or seats in your name. Though it has never happened to us ensure you have your passport with you incase the conductor wants to verify that you are the valid holders of the flexipass

A suggestion is to always travel light because you have to load and unload your luggage on the train and find space for it as well. Having a home base would serve to be an advantage,

I have had the occasion to be heaving heavy bags on and off the train and it takes away from the pleasure of train travel.

Advantages of Britrail's Flexipass:

  •  No line ups at the ticket counter Anywhere in Britain no extra fees Reserve your seating if you want.
  • On Britrail's Family Flexipass you can get one child up to 15 years of age free.
  • Flexipass is cheaper when you buy from your country of origin before your trip.
  • Go to many different places in a day, and you only use one day of your pass.
  • It's easier and cheaper to travel across Britain using the flexipass.
  • There are so many places to stop and check out over the day with no worries of extra train costs.

For my family, Britrail's Flexipass is the only way to go across Britain.
